Cookie Policy
Information about cookies, local preferences and optional measurement tools used on the website.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small identifiers stored in the browser. The website may also use local storage or equivalent technologies to retain preferences and support certain functionality.
2. Consent rule
Technologies that are strictly necessary for the requested service may be used without consent where permitted by law. Optional measurement tools are only activated after the user authorises them through the cookie manager.
3. Categories used
- Necessary: operation, security and retention of the privacy choice.
- Optional measurement: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, only when authorised.
The current mechanism does not include a separate behavioural-advertising category.
4. User choice
On the first visit, the website allows the user to reject optional cookies, manage preferences or accept optional cookies. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent normal use of essential functionality.
The choice can be changed at any time through "Manage cookies", available in the footer.
5. Google Analytics 4
When authorised, Google Analytics 4 is used to produce website-usage statistics. The current implementation uses the measurement identifier G-W8TKM69G1V.
| Cookie | Purpose | Standard documented duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishing users in a pseudonymous way. | Up to 2 years, subject to configuration and browser limitations. |
_ga_W8TKM69G1V | Persisting GA4 session/measurement state. | Up to 2 years, subject to configuration and browser limitations. |
6. Microsoft Clarity
When authorised, Microsoft Clarity is used to understand user interaction and website performance. Microsoft documents cookies such as _clck and _clsk and, depending on how the service operates, other Microsoft identifiers.
The cookies actually used may vary depending on Clarity configuration, consent, browser behaviour and changes made by the provider.
7. Withdrawal of consent
The user may withdraw authorisation for optional cookies at any time through "Manage cookies". When that choice is saved, the website communicates the withdrawal to optional tools already loaded, prevents further Google Analytics sends through the applicable opt-out mechanism, and removes first-party optional cookies controllable by the VTRapidus domain, including the Google Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_* and, where present, _clck and _clsk from Microsoft Clarity.
Cookies belonging exclusively to third-party domains cannot be deleted directly by the VTRapidus domain; in those cases, the consent signals provided by the relevant suppliers are applied and the user may also manage or delete data through browser settings. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that withdrawal.
8. Consent preference
The user's decision must be stored so that the website does not ask the same question on every page load. That preference is used to apply the user's choice. A new decision may be requested if the preference no longer exists, expires technically or there are material changes to the technologies used.
9. External resources and Google Fonts
The website may load external resources, including fonts supplied by Google. A technical connection to an external provider should not automatically be treated as an analytics cookie, but it may involve the transmission of technical data such as the IP address required for network communication. This processing is also addressed in the Privacy Policy.
10. Third parties and transfers
Google and Microsoft operate under their own terms and policies when their respective services are used. Depending on the infrastructure and processing involved, international transfers may occur, subject to the applicable safeguards described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Browser controls
In addition to the VTRapidus cookie manager, users can block or delete cookies through their browser settings. Deleting the consent preference may cause the choice request to appear again.
12. Changes
This policy will be updated when storage or measurement technologies are added, removed or materially changed. Optional tools requiring consent should not be activated silently without updating the corresponding consent mechanism.
