Is Air Invictus free to enter?
No. Air Invictus 2026 is completely free at all 15 points of interest spread across the 4 participating cities.
Where is the best place to watch the Air Race?
The banks of the Douro River between Porto and Gaia are the main stage for the air races. The entire riverside will be open to the public. Private transport is the most convenient way to reach the different points on time.
Which aircraft are participating?
8 international pilots from the former Red Bull Air Race circuit. The Portuguese Air Force participates with F-16, KC-390, C-295 and Super Tucanos. There will also be Warbirds — historic World War II aircraft — on display at Vilar da Luz Aerodrome in Maia.
Is the event sustainable?
Yes. Air Invictus has 100% carbon compensation — the entire CO2 footprint will be neutralised through reforestation and carbon credit purchase, operated by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto.
How to get to Air Invictus?
The event takes place in 4 cities with 15 points of interest. Private transport is the most convenient way to move between different locations and to get there from the airport, hotel or other origin. The price is calculated by actual distance.
